What changes the number

Three levers move your payment

All examples use a $6,000 treatment, worked out with the same formula as the calculator above.

01

Term length

24 months$299.52$1,188 interest
60 months$152.33$3,140 interest

At 17.99% APR, stretching to 60 months halves the payment but adds about $1,950 in interest.

02

Your APR

6.99% APR$185.24$668 interest
32.99% APR$264.63$3,527 interest

Over 36 months, the gap between PatientFi’s lowest advertised rate and its highest example is about $2,860.

03

Autopay

17.99% APR$216.88$1,808 interest
17.74% APR$216.13$1,781 interest

A small saving, about $27 over 36 months, but autopay also stops you missing a due date.

The formula we use

M = P × r ÷ (1 − (1 + r)−n)

  • Mmonthly payment
  • Ptreatment amount
  • rAPR ÷ 12
  • nnumber of months

Promo mode is simpler: amount ÷ promo months is the least you can pay and still finish at 0%. We don’t estimate the interest PatientFi would keep if you miss the deadline, because that depends on your loan agreement.

Calculator: FAQ

Is this an official PatientFi calculator?

No. This is an independent estimate using a standard amortization formula. PatientFi's own calculator and the plans in your account show your actual options.

Why might my real PatientFi payment be different?

Your APR depends on your credit, and plan options can vary by provider. PatientFi also notes that the plans in your account calculator can differ from examples on its website.

What APR should I enter?

Use the APR in your offer. PatientFi advertises fixed APRs starting at 6.99% (3.99% for fertility) for excellent credit with autopay; its disclosure examples go up to 32.99%.

How is the promo payment calculated?

The payment needed to finish at 0% is your balance divided by the number of promo months, so the full amount is paid before the deadline.

Does the calculator include the autopay discount?

Yes. Turn on the autopay toggle to subtract 0.25 percentage points from the APR, matching the discount PatientFi describes.
