How do you want to pay your PatientFi plan?
Pick a method to see exactly how it works. Every payment goes to PatientFi, never to your clinic.
Pay in the online payment portal
- Open the official payment portal. Type patientfi.youronlineaccount.com yourself, or follow the link in PatientFi’s help center.
- Log in with your phone. Choose “Login with PatientFi,” enter your phone number, then the 4-digit passcode PatientFi texts you.
- Choose an amount. Your monthly payment, an extra amount, or your full payoff. There’s no prepayment penalty.
- Pay by debit card or bank account. Then check the confirmation in your payment history.
Online payments can start 3–5 days after you accept your loan. Your Account Portal at app.patientfi.com is a separate site for applications and transaction requests. Which portal do I need?
Open the payment portalSet up automatic payments
You choose how to pay when you accept your transaction in the portal:
Then pick the amount: minimum, suggested or custom. On a 0% promo plan, the minimum won’t clear the balance in time, so pick the suggested payment.
- PatientFi takes 0.25% off your APR when you use autopay, on fixed-rate and promo terms
- The payment processing date must fall before your due date each month
- Payments come from a debit card or bank account (ACH)
Mail a check to PatientFi
Checks are accepted by mail. Write your billing account number and loan ID in the memo so the payment is applied to the right loan.
- Allow up to 5–7 business days after it’s received for processing
- Mail it early enough to arrive before your due date
- On a promo plan, don’t let a slow check be your final payment

Get help from PatientFi
Once your loan is active, PatientFi’s billing team can take payments and talk through problems. Current phone and email details are on PatientFi’s official help center and contact page.
- Reach out before a payment is late; missed payments may be reported to credit bureaus
- Ask about due-date changes on fixed-rate loans, or natural disaster deferral
- Keep a note of who you spoke with, the date, and what was agreed

Can you move your due date?
It depends on which kind of plan you chose.
PatientFi lets you change the due date once over the life of a fixed-rate loan. On 0% if-paid-in-full promo plans, the date is fixed by your contract. On either, the date your payment processes must still fall before the due date.
Extra payments shorten the loan, not the bill
PatientFi says a large one-time payment doesn’t lower your monthly payment. Your balance drops and the loan can end sooner, which cuts total interest on interest-bearing plans. There’s no prepayment penalty.
Real or fake? Spot the scam
Scammers target people with medical bills. Here’s what a safe payment looks like.
- Unexpected text with a link
- Look-alike web address
- Pressure to pay right now
- You typed the address yourself
- Debit card or bank account only
- Your passcode stays private, even if someone calls
This website is an independent guide. It never asks for logins and can’t take payments.
PatientFi payments: FAQ
How do I log in to pay my PatientFi loan?
Go to PatientFi's online payment portal at patientfi.youronlineaccount.com, select Login with PatientFi, enter your phone number and type the 4-digit one-time passcode PatientFi sends you. The Account Portal at app.patientfi.com is a separate site for applications and transaction requests.
What payment methods does PatientFi accept?
Debit cards and bank account (ACH) payments, plus checks mailed to PatientFi, PO Box 845073, Dallas, TX 75284-5073. PatientFi does not accept credit cards, prepaid cards, or HSA/FSA cards.
Does PatientFi offer an autopay discount?
Yes. PatientFi's help center says it applies a 0.25% APR discount when you pay through autopay, on both fixed-rate and promotional terms.
When can I make my first PatientFi payment?
PatientFi says online payments can start 3 to 5 days after you accept your loan. Your first payment is due 30 days after the practice charges your account.
Will an extra payment lower my monthly PatientFi payment?
No. PatientFi says a large one-time payment doesn't automatically reduce your monthly payment. It lowers your balance and can shorten the loan, which reduces total interest on interest-bearing loans.
Can I change my PatientFi due date?
On fixed-rate loans, you can change the due date once over the life of the loan. On promotional 0% if paid in full plans, the due date can't be changed.
Can I pay my clinic instead of PatientFi?
No. After you accept the transaction, payments must go through PatientFi. Money paid to the provider can't reduce your PatientFi balance.
How long does a mailed check take?
Allow up to 5 to 7 business days after PatientFi receives it. Include your billing account number and loan ID in the memo.
